With over 30 years of martial arts and advanced hand to hand weapons training, Steve Guillemette developed S.R.G. Martial Arts & S.R.G. Tactical, that are designed for real life street and professional combat life threatening situations. Steve's ability to bridge the gaps and flow through all ranges of combatives is why he developed S.R.G.

His no nonsense straight to the point approach, is a reflection of his upbringing in learning over 5 different martial arts systems. Steve started his training at age 6 in Wing Chun, JKD and Judo. At age 14 he began Filipino Kali and Arnis knife and stick fighting. At age 17 he began learning Filipino Dumog a non-sport combative grappling art and fine tuning his tactical firearms skills with US Army Special Forces and Army Ranger light weapons Chief Instructor Bill Price and Danny Canup.  He spent 5 years apprenticing as an assistant instructor for the Special Forces Combatives contracting program from 1994-2000. Steve instructed several DOD and local law enforcement contract seminars across the US for various professional groups. At age 23-28 he started studying and training in Krav Maga and Jiu Jitsu along with advanced firearm combative phycological timing and disarming techniques. 

Steve is trained and certified in all ranges of fighting from grappling, trapping, sweeps/throws, short and long hand striking, short and long kicking. He has excelled at weapons self defense and has been recognized as a top requested hand to hand light weapons contractor for many local protection and professional tactical security groups globally.

Steve has over 10 years apprenticing & mentoring with several  top advanced combative instructors and has over 18 years of being a chief instructor on his own. Steve's expertise in teaching speed, reflexes and power is top notch. Most importantly his expertise in how to train in difficult intense situations with high speed reaction timing is priceless!
